Coolest/Oddest Musical Experience: I played in a brass quintet for the Canadian Brass and sang in a choir (with them playing) for a concert
If you could create music with another musician (local, famous, dead/alive), who would it be and why? If I were to create music with any other musician I would love to play with Tine Thing Helseth. She has always been a trumpeter that I have looked up to even when I first started playing. I think her tone and musicality is incredible and I would be interested in what all she has to say about the trumpet
What is the one thing that instantly makes your day better? A pink drink with no berries always helps me feel better!
What is your favorite random fact (NOT something about you)? There’s enough gold on earth to coat the planet
Why do you think it's important to teach the younger generation music? I think it’s important to teach the younger generation music because it keeps people connected. It gives kids a safe place where they can express themselves in a no judgement zone
What is the most unexpected thing you have learned while studying music? When I started studying music, I started realizing how important music is to absolutely everyone. I never thought about how amazing it is that most people listen to music almost daily
